WORKING PROCEDURES AND COSTS

Preliminary Considerations
Because WYBROW INNOVATIONS develops ideas/inventions, as well as providing other services for inventors, a signed Confidentiality Undertaking will be supplied so that details can be provided by the inventor, in confidence.

An initial critical appraisal of the idea or invention can then be provided, and/or a patent application can be prepared, based on the information supplied by the inventor, or based on this, plus the results of further careful research and development by WYBROW INNOVATIONS.

Methodology
WYBROW INNOVATIONS does not just prepare and file patent specifications, but also develops ideas/inventions, and we can protect the developed idea/invention by means of further filed patent specifications.

A common scenario is thus to file a first patent application for the inventor, in order to establish a priority date, and to file improvement patent applications (which each contain everything that was in the previous patent application(s), plus the new material) during the following 12 months, measured from the priority date. The priority date can then be called upon, when filing the definitive patent application (i.e. the most recent improvement patent application) and the Patent Office can be requested to do the equivalent of "threading together" all of the previously filed patent applications, so that they are officially recognised for the purpose of establishing a "date stamp" on them, when being compared with existing prior art during the Examination Phase of the prosecution of the case towards grant.

Charging
Services rendered, are charged for, flexibly, so that work can be carried out on either a "Time" or a "Task" basis, or a mixture of the two.

There are no "up-front fees" per se, but if the inventor wishes to obtain a more cost-effective service, by paying "up-front", quotations can be supplied.

There is no obligation to pay anything until the inventor understands what is being provided for the charges to be made, and when a project is under way, there is a possibility that some of the payment for the work to be carried out can be traded for a share of future net royalties; but there is no obligation for this. No claims are made for anything which cannot be achieved.

The following services are available:

1. Instant feedback on your invention over the telephone.
2. Feedback via a face-to-face appraisal at your premises.
3. Provision of a written appraisal on the idea/invention sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
4. Preparation and filing of a patent application describing the idea/invention.
5. Graphic Design, Development, Prototyping, and Commercial Liaison.

Further details of our services can be provided by telephone, e-mail, or post.
